Yesterday I shared my Favorite Business Reads of 2015. To keep things interesting, today I will go completely opposite and list my must-read children’s books. These fun books are enthusiastically approved by both my two young boys and me.
The Boundless by Kenneth Oppel – My 4th grader read this and promptly declared it his favorite book ever. With a riveting historical fantasy plot, you won’t realize you are reading a kid’s book.
Space Case by Stuart Gibbs – Another great recommendation from my oldest son: think The Martian for the middle school set.
The Book with No Pictures by B.J. Novak – This was one of my seven-year old’s favorites. Written by one of The Office’s actor/writers, this picture book without pictures is both adult-smart and kid-friendly.
The Puzzler’s Mansion by Eric Berlin – If you loved The Westing Game as a kid, you will love this. Brain teasers are intertwined with a fun can’t-figure-it-out-until-the-end mystery that will stump both parents and their kids.
How does this worker-bee/soccer-mom/rickety-runner find time to read 50 books a year? This is my secret.
