I am looking forward to presenting at the February 7, 2020 NOHIMSS winter conference on Improving Patient Outcomes and Reducing Readmissions for Intensive Care Patients by Implementing a High-Touch Care Model Supported by the Internet of Things (IoT)
The intensive care patient population often has poor outcomes, requires high levels of care during lengthy hospital stays, and has a high readmission rate. We implemented a high-touch multidisciplinary model of care that uses Bluetooth technology to measure and improve the care delivered to intensive care patients in a large teaching hospital.
In this presentation, we will provide insight into the implementation and clinical results of this IoT project. We will cover the methods we used to select the right sensors and firmware, the advanced data processing and machine learning we employed to capture the data, and the advanced analytics and dashboards we developed to understand and improve the way that care was delivered to the patient population.
