Thanks in advance to the WIT Network for hosting me on February 21 to discuss outrageous goal setting!
About the Webinar
The common wisdom is that goals should be SMART – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. In this presentation, you will learn that sometimes being OUTRAGEOUS is better than being SMART.
I will share my personal “Bone Cancer to Boston Marathon” story. A little background:
I was a vegetable-loving, marathon-running, working-mom-of-littles when I finally went to see a sports medicine doctor about what I thought was a nagging knee injury. Instead, at thirty years of age, I learned a rare form of bone cancer had overtaken my left leg. Overwhelmed by the prospect of months of chemo, radiation, and rehab, I needed something outrageously wild to focus my attention away from the tough days ahead. So I decided to qualify for the Boston Marathon – cancer leg be damned.
In this presentation, I will teach you how to ignore “achievable and realistic” goal-setting in favor of getting outrageous!
