New Collaboration: IEEE Impact Creator

I have always been inspired by technology’s impact on humanity. As a girl tinkering with our family’s Commodore 128, I became fascinated with how lines of code can transform into a mechanism for personal communication and entertainment. In college, I learned how things like machine learning give us insight into complicated issues like climate change. And today, I get excited about how technology can help bring us together to solve new problems. Whether it’s Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, or Quantum Computing, we have an exciting opportunity to create positive change with technology.

So when IEEE approached me to join their Impact Creators program, my only question was “how soon can I start?”

After all, IEEE’s core purpose is to “foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.” So, basically right up my alley.

If you are not familiar, here is what IEEE is straight from their website:

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.

As an IEEE Impact Creator, I will share insights on engineering, computing, and technology alongside other IEEE members from around the globe. In fact, I recently had my first IEEE contribution, writing about “death by data” for IoT Agenda.

I love writing and speaking on all things tech, so I can’t be more excited about this collaboration!
