One of the biggest mistakes I made as a new manager was trying to be the leader that I wanted to be. Rather, I should have adapted my style to each individual team member, addressing their needs with respect to their unique personalities. It caused a lot of team strife at the time, which I regret immensely. However, like all hard lessons, I learned from it and it ultimately helped me evolve into a better leader.
