If there ever was a year made for pointless wandering, it was 2020.
Restless and needing of a diversion, earlier this year I set out to conquer 202.0 miles of the Buckeye Trail. At over 1400 miles, the trail wraps around Ohio making it the longest loop trail in the United States.
It differentiates from wilderness trails like the Appalachian and Pacific Crest in that its miles cross public and private lands, through city, suburb, and rural landscapes.
Having reached my goal in late November, my attention now turns to knocking off another two hundred miles in 2021.
